EEK!!
Just got a phonecall from the school letting us know all was set for our son to return .......TOMORROW! we thought it was monday - so now he's stomping round the house like a bear! It's my fault really as i should've asked earlier but we weren't told and i assumed that it was the same day as the younger kids which is monday.......
we are all ready just to pull things together so I'll have to do a lotta nice cooking tonight to chill out the boy (food is his passion!) and try and get his head round the return tomorrow!!
on the positive they said that his teachers are all the same apart from one who has left for a year to study but will be back next year. Also they seem to have been able to hold onto all his resource hours.....

Hopefully today will go well - it's the first big one really as he has tough subjects today. No phonecalls so far so that has to be good! My thumbnail is down to the bone!!
One thing i was a little annoyed about was that he came home and after much questioning mentioned 'oh i'm doing pass Irish' - ie the lower level in our national language. I didn't mind really altho' he is v.good at it (despite those with AS supposedly not being able to do languages) - his reasoning is that he only got 65% in the summer tests......! So i felt we should have been told the kids would be making this decision so we could've discusse it with him. I don't mind really re. the subject as in the end he'll focus on maths/science/history/computing I would say but we should be consulted as should all parents in my opinion. Anyway its' a small thing so we can get over it.

So far so good!! Not too happy with the new music teacher and i think he may have been a bit vocal in the class but we didnt' get a call or complaint note so i guess it wasn't too bad. He's tired but doing great. Flying through his homework - he's such a great boy and there is so much of it this year. Nice that all the teachers are the same bar one for music. Nearly half way through the week! thanks for the thoughts - we do need them!! Hope all well with you guys also
