Should this woman been thrown off plane over her clothing choice?
Ok, here is another great one: a 23 year old woman was asked to leave a Southwest Airlines flight after she had boarded because the flight attendant deemd her outfit too provocative. It wasn't that bad (maybe a little short), but SW airlines did not have a dress code- and admits that! They refuse to apologize to this young woman. I think we have lost sight here people of what is really dangerous on flights today. Aren't we supposed to be fighting a war on terrorism and trying to effectively screen and implement safety measures?? Oh yeah, we won't actually check every piece of lugage and profile anyone but wear a short skirt and roaaaaarrrrr! Let's get it together people!!

Re: Should this woman been thrown off plane over her clothing choice?
So glad you posted this. Heard the snippet on the Today show this morning, but had to leave for work prior to this airing. Honestly I expected her outfit to have everything she had hanging out. Her skirt was short, I will give you that... but it wasn't something that people needed to cover their eyes as to not see (I wouldn't wear something like that ~ as I am private). In all honesty though I see junior high girls walking in front of my home with clothes on that make her outfit look like Little House on the Prairie Days.
I think they were totally out of line. I also think they felt that effort made it look like their airline was watching out for the public & really fighting the war on terrorism. They are so far off base, it's almost ridiculous if a person thinks about it. So many issues today with travel and they have to worry about the length of a skirt ~
Open some bags, get the dogs out there sniffing around ~ do something that actually makes a difference. I don't care if folks board the plane naked as long as me and my family make it to the destination alive.

Completely crazy! Ok - some young ladies do dress skimpy but so what! She can wear whatever the hell she likes! I find it funny cause air transport is losing money hand over fist all over the world due to terror fears etc and they kick someone off for wearing a short skirt! Christ - i travelled to London in the 80's with The Pogues - sitting right beside them, their clothes stank, were torn etc, and they had bottles of vodka glued to their lips all the way over! They were good fun tho' LOL! Get over yourselves people - it's a skirt! so what!

Re: Should this woman been thrown off plane over her clothing choice?
I just now saw this. How ridiculous! I saw the photo of her in the outfit and she doesn't look any different than half the young people I see everyday. In fact, she is probably even more modestly dressed than most! What the heck is going on with Southwest Airlines? They do some really stupid things.
